Tru Gritt

Biography

On a breathing ventilator for 8 months, they told me I’ll never speak or breathe again. Music became my reason to speak again. With a weak diaphragm, I could barely speak a line, but I know he’s with me, and he’s going to be on time.

Mercy

“The Paralysis” (2017) was my first attempt of making music again 4 years after my accident, weak diaphragm and all. After being able to muster up enough breath to build my confidence the “Nobleman”and “My Mother’s Son “projects came about.

The Goal: To rewrite, write and record all the music I’ve been wanting to make since 2006. Coming across some of the lyrics and songs from the past, I said, “it’s going to take a lot of mercy for people to understand how deep I’m going to go and not judge me “, that’s where the drive comes from.

In life, we are often faced with overwhelming obstacles. Family and Friends walk out on you, and Fear and Depression continues to drag you down. But, regardless the situation or circumstances, in life you only have 2 CHOICES, MOVE FORWARD or GET LEFT BEHIND.

CHOOSE TO MOVE FORWARD.
